Happy Republic Day !
I recall to dedicate a post on Republic Day in 2007. I would say things have not changed much or should say that things have improved by far or ohhh no …. things have deteriorated a lot…. err, am I confused? Guess, no …. let me explain !
Things have not changed much:
Things are same as they have been three years back.
We are growing steadily, being seen as world’s future economy, maintaining the recession proof growth etc etc.
There are no changes in corruption, terrorism, population, floods, all the …

With recent responsibilities, I have taken the resolution to take my finances more seriously (sadly, which I have never!). With this, I have opened one more joint bank account, applied for a joint credit card and this time, have not got with any pre-approved offers but selecting from couple of choices available. Thanks to my in-time credit card payments !
Honestly, being in US on working visa doesn’t leave much of a scope to have long term house mortgage but still there are other small loans, that I may need from time to time e.g. …
Sometimes, it’s fun to make a fool out of yourself and that’s what I have been doing since last of couple of days. This damn show has just hooked me up and I am embarrassed to accept that I am doting fan of ‘Rakhi ka Swayamvar’. Guys, if you start pitying me then please stop as many share the same belief and this show has got the highest opening ever in non-fiction tele sops (More popular than both Amitabh and Shahrukh starrer KBC !). Hey, this is spontaneous. I just bumped to the admin page of my blog and found an amusing pattern which I have always strongly believed in and i.e. the law of stability. I am really not sure, if there is any such rule or physics law which is already in existence, my avid readers can enlighten me, if there is any but I just named it as ‘law of stability’ (If there is not any existing then have I just disovered another law … aha … where’s the Nobel ? …
Aha … what a fun ! I am not the guy who needs or loves pampering and the reason for both is same. I love my job and do that with best possible sincerity and you need not to motivate or reward me for anything. But yeah, the last two days have been exceptional blast while being very productive at the same time. I am feeling pampered :- D
It was a short Business trip to Greenville, South Carolina where a team building workshop has been planned. Couple of us …
It’s perhaps more than 3-4 years since I have read Ayn Rand’s ‘Fountainhead‘ and ‘Atlas Shrugged‘ and while it takes me time to recollect even the subject names that I have studied during my MBA days, forget about the course books and content, I can very well recall many speeches, especially the huge one on Objectivism and plot-line of the books. But yeah, I am not special as ‘Atlas Shrugged’ has claimed the title of Second most influential book after Bible and has been moving People’s life since last many years.
However, …
Somehow in my daily business, I missed one important news which has been brought to my attention by one of my learned seniors whom I treat with high esteem when it comes to any serious discussion related to legislation, Indian Judiciary, human rights.
I am not sure, if I got annoyed after reading this because our highest judicial authority has taken a bow against religious fundamentalism or am happy to see that we are so democratic that even the highest judicial authority is not exceptional and accepts mistakes. Before elaboarting, I …
During my regular internet surfing, I stumble upon an interview of Warren Buffet at CNBC where he is criticizing Apple for hiding the serious illness of Steve Jobs and that he did a liver transplant couple of months back.
If I have any serious illness, or something coming up of an important nature, an operation or anything like that, I think the thing to do is just tell the American, the Berkshire shareholders about it. I work for ‘em. Some people might think I’m important to the company. Certainly Steve Jobs is …
