I am neither a homosexual nor a big Celina Jaitley fan but I am glad and relieved when Indian HC passed the verdict in favor of gays and homosexuals on 2nd July. A lot of discussions and emotional melodrama has been going on in Indian media on how some people get the wrong body and by the time, they realize that then gets too late, all blah-blah … might be true but not very convincing or appealing to me and thus this is not the reason why i am appreciating …

The foundation of this post has been laid in the afternoon after there has been a forward on one of the bakar threads and it has been satirically replied by Rajiv. The forward was regarding support to Indian goods and boycott foreign products and unusually, a non-sense thread got some good view points.
Globalisation has been mostly hated in developing nations on the notion that rich nations and companies are spreading a colonial regime, utilizing poor nation’s resources, manpower and buying power (countries like India/China). There are lot of pamphlet circulations, …

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ is in hype, owing to all the good reasons: Be it winning all the four prestigious Golden Globe awards (AR Rehman rocks and ‘Jai Ho’ is mesmerizing !), lot of critic’s acclaimation in film festivals across the globe. Just done with the movie and couldn’t resist myself to blah my thoughts on it.

Happy Independence Day, every Indian !!!
‘Chak De … India’ or Go India Go !!! I don’t see a better timing for this movie. Independence day eve, India shining, India recently winning Test Series in England after 20 yrs gap and no movie getting released that bounds Indians in national feeling recently.
Bollywood is evolving and we are promised good real life based movies in main commercial cinema or atleast the movies which are based on true rumors (remember: Shootout….). Its pleasure to see that its substance rather than sex and skill …

During my 30 hrs journey from Bangalore to Gwalior, I read “India:From Midnight to Millennium” an appealing book by Shashi Tharoor. I have an affinity for books giving any kind of information about India, be it its diverse geographical limits or controversial age old traditions, its myths, its ideas. The book is an mix of fascinating account and eloquent argument for the importance of India to the future of industrialized world. Although book is being written sometime in 1997, so some of the economic reforms talks have become byzantine, yet …
